Interschool Swimming Sports

Did you go to the inter-school swimming sports? Because we did. Tuhourangi, Tyler, Esther, and Reef got to represent our class. We got our awesome yellow and black Mahora t-shirts fitted and we were off, ready to represent our school.

They gave us yellow swimming caps and some goggles for us to wear when we raced. The swimming caps made you go faster in the water. We got firsts, seconds and thirds. Tuhourangi, Esther, and Reef got into the finals and placed.

It took so long for us to get called up because there were heaps of races. We heard lots of cheering while we were there. After the races we had some relays, there were 5 people in each team. Each school had a different place to sit. They had paddles with the numbers 1, 2 and 3 on them and when you won a race you were given one. After all of the races were finished we had a photo with all of the Mahora inter-school swimmers, hoped back in the cars and we were on our way back to school.

It was so much fun and we were all really proud of ourselves. Hopefully we get to do it all again next year!
